Bracket clock Bracket clocks are spring-driven pendulum clocks most often housed in a rectangular case with a carrying handle on top. These were introduced around 1660 and used during the 17th and 18th centuries. Many would have originally been made with a decorative matching bracket to fix the clock to the wall.
