Veneer In woodworking, a veneer is a thin slice of wood or bark glued onto core wood panels to produce doors, tops and panels for cabinets, floors, parts of furniture, and clock cases. Veneers were used for marquetry and parquetry. Decorative veneers were typically pasted onto clock cases to create intricate bark patterns that mirrored one another.
