Message from Clocktime's creator Good morning November is one of my favourite months and when my birthday falls. When you look at the photos of the new exhibits at the Clocktime Digital Museum you will see that one calendar date features prominently, much to the amusement of many a photographer over the years! Looking ahead, I’m proud that Clocktime is now a charity, officially showing commitment to education through the digital museum, designed to increase the public's understanding of horology, skills and science behind the making of historic timekeepers. Another important objective is to advance arts, heritage, culture and science by helping to preserve the craft of clock and watchmaking. My daughter Dr Laura N Young MBE is the Chair of trustees and Ewan St John Smith, the keeper of the Corpus Chronophage clock in Cambridge, is also a trustee. Laura is looking for two new trustees with website and technical expertise to join the board. You can find out more by connecting with her on LinkedIn. Thank you for your enthusiastic feedback to the Clocktime Digital Museum. It’s exciting to see new exhibits come to life on the website, with their ability to align with local time. We have a Clocktime first this month with the addition of animated pendulums on the two new longcases. In the full clock view, you can see the pendulums swinging through the lenticles. They look splendid and I must thank our creative and dynamic curator Dr Kristin Leith for overseeing this fun technical advancement! Dr John C Taylor OBE FREng
