Clocks on British TV We’re delighted that two high profile BBC TV programmes have featured clocks this month. The first was Antiques Roadshow, which on 1st September showed footage of Fiona Bruce visiting Overton Clocks, based at Cromford Mills, Derbyshire. If you missed the show, you can see it on BBC iPlayer here. We were also excited to see that on 2nd September, the popular antiques TV show, Bargain Hunt, had a special programme all about timepieces and timekeeping. The host, Christina Trevanion delved into the archive to discuss watches, clocks and calendars bought by teams and their experts down the years. Christina visited the Museum of Timekeeping in Newark to see the alarm pocket watch that polar explorer Captain Scott wore on his ill-fated expedition. You can watch the programme on BBC iPlayer here. You will need to sign in to a BBC iPlayer account in order to see the programmes, which are available only to UK residents. As you can see, we wish to spread the message about Clocktime to as many individuals as possible throughout the globe. Please feel free to forward this message to friends, family and contacts who you think will find it of interest. Thank you in advance for your kind support.
