Treasure House Fair Many a time, Dr John C Taylor visits London and notes that central locations such as New Bond Street used to be thriving with clock dealers. The annual Treasure House Fair, taking place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea from 26 June to July 1, is the perfect opportunity to view a large range of superb clocks in a relaxed, spacious setting. It’s also an excellent way to catch up with a rare breed of specialist - those who are passionate about antiquarian clocks and watches. It’s also very exciting to know that Cotswolds based Tobias Birch (Stand 317) is exhibiting at the Treasure House Fair, one of a trio of antiquarian clock specialists. At the age of nineteen, he was the youngest student to be awarded a Distinction in the Conservation and Restoration of Antique Clocks from the renowned West Dean College. The array of clocks on display on the Tobias Birch stand includes around a dozen from The John C Taylor Collection. This means that many will be able to see Dr Taylor’s timekeepers in person, so to speak! Tobias Birch is offering complimentary tickets to Clocktime News readers who would like to visit the Treasure House Fair. Please contact him here and he will provide tickets either digitally or in the post. Darrell Dipper and the team at Carter Marsh (stand 110) enjoy the fair because it attracts a wide range of visitors who, in many cases, are considering a masterpiece for their home. Carter Marsh has both a showroom and workshop in Winchester, close to the iconic cathedral. Howard Walwyn (stand 211) is a specialist dealer in English antique clocks dating from the 17th century until the mid-19th century. His gallery is located in the heart of West London’s famous Kensington Church Street. The Treasure House Fair, 26 June - 1 July 2025.
