Fromanteel and East collaboration Around 1640, Edward East and Ahasuerus Fromanteel collaborated to produce the stunning gilt-and-silver table clock - a horological masterpiece. This clock is also the earliest known English grande sonnerie clock and one of the first to have a minute hand. The nature of the two men’s business relationship is unclear, as is the extent to which each contributed to the making of the clock. This is the only known collaboration between the two clockmakers.
